Following Russian airspace closure to European carriers in February 2022, the Caucasus corridor (UGGG, UDDD, UBBA) gained importance. Several European carriers added or expanded Caucasus routings to support Asia connections without overflying Russia. Tbilisi is one of the hubs benefiting from this realignment.
